Scarborough Toyota Donates $100,000 to Community Organizations in Toronto
Earlier this year, Scarborough Toyota made a decision to be more intentional on how they participated in their community. The almost 40-year-old dealership has a history of donating to local charities but wanted to do more. They started a Community Outreach Program in partnership with seven different charities that would receive generous donations from the dealership.
As part of their community partnership, these organizations received donations of varying amounts at the media event held August 3rd, 2017. The charitable organizations cover a wide area of services in the community from Youth, Women's Initiatives, New Comer and Refugee, and services for the Homeless.
The Organizations are: Homes First Foundation, Bluffs Food Ban, Scarborough Women's Centre, Canadian Centre for Refugee & Immigrant Health Care, Kennedy House Youth Services, Wayne Simmonds Road Hockey Warriors, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto.
"We wanted to get out there and physically provide a helping hand in as many ways as we could." says Scarborough Toyota President Paul Walters.
