Building Hope Through Community Mental Health Support
Community mental health support is more important than ever as individuals, families, and communities across Canada continue navigating stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, addiction, and emotional hardship. Mental Health Awareness Month is an important reminder that no one should face mental health challenges alone. Across Canada, individuals, families, and communities continue to navigate stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, addiction, and emotional hardship every day. While awareness matters, meaningful action and genuine community support matter even more.
At CanadaOne Auto, supporting our communities has always been part of who we are. Through the Pat and Diana Priestner Family Dealership Charitable Giving Program, CanadaOne Cares Dealerships continue to support organizations that provide hope, healing, wellness, and community care across the country.
Today, our dealerships collectively support more than 200 charities and community organizations, helping strengthen the communities where we live and work. From mental health and wellness initiatives to local outreach programs and fundraising efforts, giving back remains deeply rooted in our values of compassion, integrity, and community support.
Supporting Organizations That Strengthen Mental Health and Wellness
Community mental health support takes many forms. Sometimes it means funding access to services and counselling. Other times it means creating safe spaces, supporting youth programs, helping survivors rebuild, or ensuring individuals know they are not alone.
Our dealerships are proud to support organizations making a real difference in mental health, wellness, and community support initiatives across Canada.
Organizations such as the Canadian Mental Health Association continue to play a vital role in education, advocacy, and accessible mental health resources for Canadians. Community organizations like the YMCA help create spaces where individuals and families can find connection, support, wellness programs, and a sense of belonging.
Several CanadaOne dealerships have also partnered with healthcare foundations and local initiatives supporting mental wellness and recovery in their regions. Through the Thrive initiative connected to the General Hospital Foundation, support has helped strengthen programs focused on mental health and wellness within local communities.
CanadaOne dealerships have also supported organizations focused on helping vulnerable individuals and families through difficult circumstances, including Little Warriors, Wings of Providence, and the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton. These organizations provide critical care, resources, advocacy, and support for individuals navigating trauma and hardship.
CanadaOne Auto, Waterloo Ford, Waterloo Lincoln, and Freedom Ford were proud Presenting Sponsors of the 2025 WINGMAN Campaign in support of Wings of Providence, helping raise an incredible $72,825 to provide safe shelter, counselling, housing, childcare, and healing programs for women and children fleeing violence while also helping raise awareness and spark important conversations within the community.
Last year alone, CanadaOne Auto Dealerships helped raise $85,000 in support of the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton, reflecting the power of communities coming together to support healing and recovery.
CanadaOne Cares Dealerships are also proud to support the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton through the Take Action campaign, helping raise critical funds for survivors in need of specialized counselling and support services. Through teddy bear sales across participating dealerships, our teams and customers are helping provide care, healing, and safe spaces for survivors while raising awareness about the growing need for accessible mental health and trauma support within our communities. Community support also extends into broader wellness and inclusion initiatives. Motionball continues to inspire communities across Canada through events and fundraising that promote inclusion, connection, and support for Special Olympics athletes, while organizations like The 705 provide compassionate mental health and addiction recovery support for individuals and families navigating difficult challenges.
Mental Health Awareness Month Is About More Than Awareness
Mental Health Awareness Month is not only about starting conversations. It is about continuing them long after May ends. It is about reminding people that support exists, that healing takes community, and that compassion can have a lasting impact on someone’s life.
Every fundraiser, partnership, volunteer effort, and charitable contribution represents something bigger than a donation. It represents care. It represents people choosing to support one another during difficult moments.
